Raman applications in the F&B industry

Processes in the Food & Beverage industry become more complex and more Bio tech. The demand for plant based protein, valorisation of waste streams brings new processes and with those new processes comes a demand for more advanced, in-line, analytical tools.
Raman spectroscopy is one of those advanced analytical tools. Raman spectroscopy, though not uncommon in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry, is a relative new comer in the food and beverage industry.
A short introduction into Raman spectroscopy, specifically for the process industry, and some examples of applications will be given.
